I need to make up an animal for a project,but I can't even think of an animal to base it off of! Animal ideas?

So I want to make it flying, or snow/tropical camouflage.....Maybe an unusual animal? Cat is out FOR SURE. someone is already doing that....Help? I'm all out of ideas. I can't think of ANYTHING.
